The Professional Players' Federation (PPF)
To lead the planning, marketing, sales and delivery of the first ever PPF National Conference. This involved creating a brand for the event, producing all printed and digital marketing collateral, sourcing and liaising with the venue, managing the sales process and of course delivering the event.
On the 4th October 2010 an incredibly successful inaugural PPF national conference took place at the Novotel Hotel in Euston, London. The conference was sold out and was standing room only as we brought together over 180 sport business professionals to debate and discuss the most prominent issues affecting professional sportsmen and women in the UK.
Key individuals within the industry including Sir Trevor Brooking CBE, Rick Parry, Gordon Taylor OBE, Richard Bevan, Damien Hopley, Alec Stewart and Angus Porter convened to debate the important issues at the heart of professional sport including betting in sport, drug-use and how this is managed and improving the governance of sport by creating a stronger voice for the players. Throughout the day lively and engaging debates were observed, while delegates also took the opportunities to network with their peers in attendance.
To support the launch for the event, 100AND10% lead in the design of the new event identity and the creation of the specific event website including ‘back end' payment services as well as designing new email templates and launching and managing the event twitter account. These core marketing requirements ensured the maximum exposure for the event and were designed to raise the awareness of the event to the wider sports market, contributing to the overall results in terms of awareness levels and final delegate numbers.
digital and direct marketing campaign was implemented which significantly supported the overall sales strategy, raisning the awareness of the event to exhibitors, delegates and the media who were in attendance with the event covered on the BBC and BskyB.
The smooth and efficient running of the conference on the day ensured all delegates had an enjoyable experience. As such, we are delighted with the positive feedback that has already been received from a number of sponsors, delegates, exhibitors, members of the press, speakers and of course PPF officials.
