"I thought it was a really good event. It must have taken a huge amount of effort from behind the scenes so I'm sure everyone is really proud of the way it went."

Careers in Sport + Leisure 2010
Looking to build on the success of the inaugural event, Careers in Sport + Leisure 2010 was to be the second installment of the country's only national careers event for the sport and leisure industry.
Yet again, the aim was to bring together a mass of the most pro-active young people looking for a career in sport and combine them with the key employers and speakers from the industry, all who had to be willing to pass on their knowledge and experience to assist those attending in reaching their career goals.
With the current graduate employment situation tighter than ever, it was even more important to ensure that those attending recognised the opportunities available to them.
Once again the company was responsible for the complete delivery of the event, from sourcing the venue, designing the brand and marketing the event to determining the content, the entire sales process and of course, delivery and event management on the day.
Based on 2009 feedback, the event was to move to a more central location to allow for greater access to the nation and to shift to earlier in the academic year.
Over two very busy days at The International Centre, Telford, 5000 young people, 34 exhibitors and 36 leading industry speakers attended CSL 2010. A massive 120 further education colleges and 40 different universities were represented from all corners of the country.
In the build up to the event, the CSL brand was refreshed with the distinctive black and green look created, a new event website was launched and became a key source of live information and key sponsorship deals were struck with SkillsActive, ISPAL, SportGrads and British Colleges Sport.
Speakers such as Phil Smith (Sport England), Mark Hooper (The FA) Tony Copsey (Copsey Consultancy/London Scottish) Richard Beale and Tom Bates (Birmingham City FC) were all on hand to share their experience with the students, as well as exhibitors including adidas, David Lloyd Leisure, The RFU, Nuffield Health, SkillsActive and Canterbury New Zealand.
We were delighted with the great number of colleges who returned for a second year to CSL, as well as the number of new faces that we saw over the two days.
"It has certainly given me a kick of motivation to get back on track and acheive my goals."
Dan McDermott, Student, Canterbury Christ Church University
"It was a very enjoyable day as well as being very encouraging to see so many of the attendees come up at the end to ask questions. I look forward to hearing about next year's event."
Charlie Mulraine, Mulraine Sport
